Fall 2024 Award Recipients
The Frazier Foundation awarded the City of Cumberland Police department $29,039.99 to towards the purchase a police cruiser, Durango Pursuit Vehicle AWD with additional equipment.
The Frazier Foundation awarded the City of Lynch $21,981.44 for the purchase of two computers and a printer. One of the computers will be for use in the city hall office and the other will used by the police department for warrants and citations.
The Frazier Foundation awarded the MS Theatre Arts Performance $3,621.00 to provide a cultural experience for our 7th and 8th grade students at the Barter Theatre in Abingdon, VA. Some of the plays are based on novels and our classroom readings.
The Frazier Foundation awarded Cumberland Elementary, MS Academic Team $3,500 to purchase study and training materials, team apparel, food and travel expenses, including end of season rewards trip.
The Frazier Foundation awarded the Computer class $9,500 for the purchase of the Dreambox Reading Plus program for grades 3-8. This program allows the teacher to assign the skill that each student needs to be working on.
The Frazier Foundation awarded the FRYSC program $15,000 for the Backpacks for the weekend program.
The Frazier Foundation awarded the kindergarten $5,600 to take students to the Knoxville Zoo. School materials and equipment for the classroom, such as chair slippers, laminating film and books to read aloud.
The Frazier Foundation awarded $20,000 to provide 600 families with a food box of 33 items and gifts for the children.
The Frazier Foundation awarded $5,000 to serve approximately 200 needy families with food in the Tri-Cities.
The Frazier Foundation awarded $25,000 to the Meridzo Center to provide scholarships to students who attended Cumberland Elementary School and graduate from Harlan County High School.
The Frazier Foundation awarded $8,900 to purchase a entrance door tor the building.
The Frazier Foundation awarded $22,659.45 to purchase the league's charter, equipment, and uniforms for the team players.
The Tri-Cities Heritage, Main Street program was awarded a grant in the amount of $30,000. This project would be to obtain a grant writer to apply for federal and private money for the cities of Cumberland, Benham, and Lynch Kentucky.
